Saint Joseph's Singers

Saint Joseph's Singers

A Chamber Chorus on the Upper East Side of Manhattan

Our 2006-2007 season, featuring music by:
Bach, Britten and Lauridsen and new works by:
Steven Stucky, Kristin Kuster and Stefan Weisman

Rehearsal Schedule

The chorus is an auditioned mixed chorus of sixteen to twenty singers, and performs concerts at St. Joseph's Church, 404 East 87th Street, as well as other venues in the upper east side of Manhattan. (While we are affiliated with St. Joseph's Church, we are not a church choir.)

No Weekly Rehearsals

Our rehearsal schedule is unique in that there is not a weekly rehearsal night during the concert season. Rather, we rehearse three to five times before a concert, usually on a Sunday afternoon. Because of the limited ensemble rehearsal time, we seek skilled and self-motivated singers to fill the few spaces that will open each year.

Ideal for Trained Voices and Busy Professionals

If you have studied voice either privately or in a conservatory-like setting, and you want to sing varied repertoire in a small group of dedicated singers with a highly skilled conductor, St. Joseph's Singers is for you! Also, if you are a hard-working professional with a limited amount of free time during the week, our rehearsal schedule may be the perfect fit.
